Nfl RecapWild Card Weekend
Another wild and wacky weekend for the Nfl playoffs. The only game that came out like I wanted it to was the Giants beating the Bucs. I was hoping the Redskins, Steelers and Titans could advance but I knew there was a good chance they wouldnt.
Seahawks 35
Redskins 14
The Redskins inspiring run finally ended. To be honest they probably overachieved and just ran out of fumes. I had not seen the Seahawks all year so I didnt really know what to expect. They were actually a lot better than I thought. Their defense looked solid and they have a good passing game. It should be a hell of a battle there in Green Bay.
Jaguars 31
Steelers 29
Man I hate both of these teams but I hate the Jags even more lately. This was a fairly evenly matched game but the Jags defense is a little bit better. If they dont play better than they did Saturday against the Pats it could be a long day.
Giants 24
Bucs 14
Once again the Giants prove is better to go into the postseason hot and clicking instead of resting your players and limping in like the Bucs. The Giants and Eli Manning impressed me a lot. The Cowboys have to be a little bit worried after watching that game. Another great Nfc matchup next weekend.
Chargers 17
Titans 6
My team finally lost. Before the season I thought they werent going to even make the playoffs so Im overall happy with the way the season turned out. Even if they would have won they would have been blown away by the Patriots just like the Chargers are going to be blown out by the Colts next weekend. Both teams played sloppy and Vince Young needs some more experience under his belt. Hopefully the Titans can improve their secondary and receiver positions in the offseason. Pretty much the same thing they need every year since Fisher has been the coach of the Titans. Ive seen Rivers in about 4 games this year and he's gotta be the most crybaby quarterback Ive ever seen. He complains to the refs and his own teammates on every single play. They will be blown out at least by 14 next week by the Colts.

When all is down I have Vida here to cheer me up.

Well well well... it's finally here. The Playoffs. I really thought that the Redskins were gonna do a lil' sumthn sumthn. But they got beat by a Seahawks team that is playing pretty good football right now. The Greenbay game should be a battle royale. Lambeau field in Jan ..sonuvabitch. As we all know, I hate the Steelers. It was nice to see them lose. Although I hate them less now that Mike Tomlin is the head coach because he seems like a stand up guy who is interesting to listen to. Unlike Ol' Spit talking Bill Cowher. I like Ex Cowboy player and Jags Head Coach Jack Del Rio. I think he is a pretty good coach. The Giants...sonuvabitch. Has Eli been taking lessons from Peyton during the week or something ? For the last two weeks, he has been on fire. I will say it again, sonuvabitch. I don'ta like'a this. I still believe in my heart of hearts that Eli is an average quarterback at best and that his great performance as of late is simply a fluke. But it may not be. I know this, if the Cowboys play like they have in their last 3 or 4 games they will lose. It is hard to beat a team 3 times in a single season. It's damn near impossible. But on the other side of it. We have beat them two times this season so that's got to count for something, right ? The keys to the Cowboys success against the Giants are these (1) T.O. has to have an impact on the game, even with his high ankle sprain. Sadly, the Cowboys offense is a different offense without Owens. (2)Protect Romo, this can not be overstated. (3)Terry Glenn needs to have an impact on deep routes as Owens may not be able to stretch the field with his injury. (4) Crayton, Austin, and Hurd have got to step up -- Witten always does. (5) Get major pressure on Eli or he will kill us with the way that he has been playing (6) Stop Brandon Jacobs period. Injure him again...whatever. (7) No turnovers !!! (8) Jam Plaxico at the line every snap (9)Hopefully Roy Williams comes down with something and is too sick to play. *** If the Cowboys play to their potential we will win no doubt, if not the Giants will. I still believe in Romo. We just gotta have T.O. Oh the Bucs would have been so much easier for us. Damn. I hated to see the Titans go down like that, especially considering that the first half was an offensive turdfest. I was hoping that LT wouldn't ever get on track. Yeah you are right Phillip Rivers is a big pussy. He doesn't know the meaning of " Man Up. " Standing there bitching like an old woman. I think that next year in Vince's 3rd season he will establish himself as a very good NFL QB. The infamous third year. The make or break year for a lot of QBs. I think that he'll make a good season of it, though I would still like to see him run more. Hey at least " Brian Billick " got Fired !!! Soooo Sweet !!! It couldn't have happened to a better guy. Come'on Ware and Ellis Put Eli on his Ass this sunday. So I can again say " How 'bout dem Cowboys. "
