Mosh It Up Baby!
Artist: Mystic Prophecy
Album: Satanic Curses
The first thing that stood out is the excellent distortion. The crunch is so awesome even the Cap'n would be jealous. They are basically a fast classic metal group with all the ingredients of a great classic metal album. Great vocals, great backing vocals, catchy choruses, solid rhythms and cool leads. Oh yeah they have a cool album cover also. They also have a cool unique cover of Black Sabbath's Paranoid. The only gripe is the leads are good but not groundbreaking and I wish they did a lot bit more of the growling type vocals. Minor gripes overall and I definitely recommend it for all classic metal fans and for metal fans in general its at least worth checking out.

Heres a song from the album

Artist: Fight
Album: K5 War of Words Demos
One of my favorite metal releases of the 90's was Fight-War of Words album. I always knew Rob was a great singer but I wasnt that familiar with Judas Priest. When I heard War of Words I was blown away! I saw them live at the Backroom and they sounded flawless. One of the best live musicians performance Ive ever seen. Unfortunatley Fight only released one more album before Rob quit and started his own solo band Halford. Now they have released the demo sessions of the album with 5 new tracks that were previously unreleased. As far as the songs that were released on war of the words they are basically the same but just in a raw form. The only song I heard that was a lot different was Into The Pit. Even though I prefer the album version I liked the demo version a lot also. The 5 new tracks are pretty much B sides and not really worthy of the full album. For fans that have never heard of Fight I say aquire War of Words by any means necessary but this album is pretty much for Fight lovers only.

Here are some kick ass videos of Fight
