Mosh it Up baby! *repost* from april
I tried the recommend it or not rating system and thats not for me. Im a numbers man and i dont feel fully satisfied unless i put a numbers rating on something. The Cavalera Consipiracy reunites Max Cavalera and brother Dino Cavalera on an album since the most overrated piece of shit album from Sepultura: Roots. When Max quit the band I wasnt too upset since I thought that Sepultura had made their swan song with Chaos AD. I tried to like Soulfly but I couldnt get into that garbage either.
When the brothers made up and got back together I was hoping for a decent album but I didnt think it would be this much fun to listen to. No the album is not technically amazing but it does have a cool attitude and fun feeling that I havent heard since last years DDP album. A lot of the riffs brought me back to the Sepultura days and I was back to headbanging with a smile on my face. The leads are unique and fit the album perfectly. This sounds like a great album to listen to live by the band. The album only has a few clunkers but otherwise a great listen. Im looking forward to hearing more from them soon. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a mosh pit back breaking 8.4 out of 10.
***update***
This album definitely grew on me and I readjust my rating to a 9.0 out of 10. Go get it!
