So Bad They're Good
Have you ever seen some movies that are so horribly atrocious it makes them so good? Most of the time they have low budgets, bad acting, ludicrous plots and usually unintentionally funny. The horror genre are riddled with them but here are a few that stick out in particular to me.
DEMONS 2 by Lamberto Bava and produced by Dario Argento. Lamberto Bava is son of Italian horror maestro director Mario Bava. Too bad he didnt inherit any of his dad's talent. This movie has horrible dubbing, bad acting and an insane plot line. So in other words, it rules. I saw this movie at the Alamo Drafthouse on a Weird Wednesday with a packed audience and we ate it up. Me and my buddy's sides hurt from laughing so much. Its basically this ridiculous story of how this demonic entity comes through a tv as you can see in this clip and infects this lady on her birthday. She then in turn attempts to attack and demonize the whole apartment building. The other non infected residents are led by this weight lifter dude in an attempt to stop the evil. Apparently demons infect and turn their victims, similar to what zombies do to their prey. There are a dozen lines that are classic and some moments that are just over the top unintentional funny. The gore is awesome in a cheesy 80's way. I definitely recommend picking up some brew kick back with the "boys" and watch this gold plated turd.
Next up is the ridiculous SATANS LITTLE HELPER a.k.a. The stupidest kid on the face of the Earth!!! Basically its about this little prick who worships this gameboy type game about this kid who helps the devil take over the world. Its Halloween day so he goes to look for the real Satan so he can help him. And what do you know. He happens to come up on the psychopath thats on a killing spree and just coincidentally is wearing a Satans mask. So the idiot kid asks if he can be his helper and the evil bitch nods yes without hesitation. So the rest of the movie they go around killing people and this kid thinks its all just play and doesnt know the people are actually dying. There are a few funny lines but the entertainment from this movie comes from the annoying little kid and the insane plot but genious in a straight to video twisted way. If you have some brain cells and a hour and a half to kill i recommend netflixing it one weekend. The bottom clip is a trailer for the movie.
