Are you ready for some football?
Man i love this time of year. The sweltering heat, reading and watching about the hype and expectations of all 32 NFL teams in their hope of holding up the Lombardi trophy at the end of the year. (Next year technically) I admit i get caught up in the hype too but not near as much as i did when i was younger. Ive had so much heartbreak before im sort of immune to the disappointment year after year when my team doesnt win it all. The bad thing is ive been an oiler/titans fan my whole life and ive had some great teams to root for. At least 2 or 3 oiler teams should have won it all and the Titans should have beaten the Rams in the big one. Now its time for a new regime with Vince Young in and Steve Mcnair moving on. Its exciting times cuz i live here in Austin and ive seen firsthand the potential he has. I honestly believe barring injury he could end up being the Jordan of football. Im not giving up on Mcnair yet, hes on a new team Ravens) with a great defense and adequate offense. I wouldnt be surprised if they went deep in the playoffs or made a push for the bowl.
Its exciting there are so many questions to be answered in the nfl. No other sport can you really say that going into the season. Heres a few questions and my predictions. Will Kurt Warner be successful and hold off Leinart for the entire year? Yes Will Vinitari be successful in the dome in Indy? Hell Yes Will T.O. and Drew be at peace for a whole season? Maybe but i wouldnt bet on it Will it be the same ol Steelers of last year? NO way Will Mario Williams be justified by being the #1 pick? LOL only time will tell for sure Will Aaron Brooks have more success with the Raiders? Yes but they still wont go anywhere if they make the playoffs Will Culpepper be the answer the Dolphins are looking for? Uhh NO!!! Will Michael Vick stop being the most overrated quarterback in the NFL and maybe in history? No the Falcons are a good team and he will have a few great games with a bunch of mediocre ones but people will only remember the great ones like usual. Still probably another two years before they realize hes pretty much Kordell Stewart part 2. Will the Super Bowl be a rematch? No it will be Baltimore Ravens over the Carolina Panthers
