Gnaw Movie Review
Directed by Gregory Mandry
Starring a bunch of British actors Ive never seen before
Availability: DVD date is still unknown
Alright enough is enough. If you cant bring anything new to the crazy cannibal family survival horror genre then why do a movie at all. This movie had cookie cutter written all over it. I'm sure the Pillsbury dough boy was cringing in fear.
The story is about a group of 6 friends who go away to a bed and breakfast for the weekend and one by one get picked off by a masked killer, and then made into meat pies. That's basically it. None of the characters are memorable, there isn't any great gore set pieces or inventive kills. I couldn't wait for this piece of shit to end. The only thing I give it props for is the cool looking raccoon skin mask the killer sometimes wore. There was also a secret g/f pregnancy subplot that never emerged into anything interesting. Also the ending was very anti climatic and just plain shitty. I'm getting pissed just thinking about this movie. I think I need to go take a bath or watch a good Fincher movie to help cleanse my mind. On a scale of 1-10 I give this a no cell phone signal, 2.2 out of 10.
