Earbuds
Over the past few years Ive probably worn out close to two dozen earbud headsets. I listen to podcasts, music and watch movies on Ipod constantly so I need a good quality pair. Since I go through so many I never buy any high end ones that are over 25 bucks. Im sure there are some awesome ones in that range but this post Ill focus on ones that are cheaper than that. Besides the usual sources Target, Walmart, etc...you can also find good pairs at Big Lots and Ross.
Category 1 No fucking Way
1. Sentry headphones. These are the most common found at Big Lots and sometimes Ross. They are terrible sound quality. I wouldnt give these to my enemy.
2. Dollar store headphones. Do I really need to say more?
3. Phillips Surround Sound Headphones. These are actually one of the better sounding earbuds but unless your ear holes are the size of a giant WWE wrestler then stay away. My ears hurt for hours after I wore these. I was hoping my ears would get used to them but they never did. 20 minutes max is all I could take at one time. Not worth it.
Category 2 Ok until you find better
Most of these headphones are the ones you find at the store in the 10-15 dollar range.
1. Most coby headphones. They arent A grade but probably worth the money. You can often find them in the $5 dollar range.
3. Phillips earbud noise cancelling. They are kinda bulky, dorky looking and the bass is a little lacking. You can find these on clearance a lot. Not bad for the price.
4. Basically any brand Sony, phillips, jwin, etc...that are just called earphones and no specific brand name.
Category 3 The best for the money so far
1. I hate to admit it cuz I hate thefact they seem to be marketed to goth or skater kids, but Skullcandy Inkd buds are easily the best i found so far. They are excellent quality (treble and bass) and very comfortable. They are about 16 bucks at Target but can be found for about 8 bucks at Ross.
2. Koss inline ear buds. Im a huge fan of inline audio cuz i hate going into the ipod to switch the volume up and down. These are some of the best quality by far. They are about 25 bucks at walmart.
