Shuttle Movie Review

It looks like they are running out of places to have a horror movie. Trains and subways have been done, so have airplanes, so why not have a movie take place on a shuttle bus? I think the answer is because you have to have a really strong script for it to be interesting enough for a full length movie. This is not a bad movie but any means but it could have been so much better.
The story is about two chicks that just finished a Mexican weekend getaway and are now back home at the local airport. At the airport they meet two guys that are looking to hook up with them. Its late at night and raining and they need a ride home from an airport shuttle. So the four of them get on a shuttle with a nerdy weird guy as a passenger and a seemingly normal looking shuttle driver. Pretty soon the driver starts to take back roads into a seedy part of town. Of course there is more to meets the eye to the shuttle driver and pretty soon he takes the whole bus hostage. The rest of the movie is pretty predictable with the escape/catch, escape/catch routine. There is a twist with one of the passengers that I saw a mile away. The ending is actually kinda cool but very anticlimatic. Getting to the biggest flaw of the movie is the length. Its almost 2 hours and could have easily had about 20 minutes chopped off and it would have flowed a lot smoother. I usually dont complain about this but the movie itself is not very well lit. There are a few scenes that are really dark and hard to see. I was intrigued and entertained till about the half way mark then it really lost steam and drug on. I cant really recommend this unless you are a hardcore thriller fan. On a scale of 1-10 I give this a slo mo protection move, 5.8 out of 10.
