Ive never been a huge fan of Lamb of God. Ive enjoyed some of their songs but I always thought they were a little overrated. They always sounded a little too raw and repititive for my tastes. So I was pleasantly surprised to see how much I enjoyed this album. They have grown leaps and bounds since their debut album. Some people may complain about the "commercialization" of the album but I think its a welcome addition. This album has a little more groove metal style in the vein of Pantera, than their other albums. The vocals in the mix are very up front and in your face which I liked. Still my only complaint I have is for this thrash/death/groove metal hybrid type of music, I still prefer more leads. Only one song has a solo in it. I still have a strong feeling this album will continue to grow their popularity, but maybe hardcore fans might have backlash for their more accessible sound. Fuck them, I still dig the new sound.
