Directed by Brian King
Starring Danny Glover, Leelee Sobieski, and Steve Zahn
Availability: release date for either dvd or theatrical release has not yet been decided. My opinion is that it will probably be a straight to dvd release.
I thought it was a servicable thriller. I was mainly excited to see it because it starred Steve Zahn. I think he's a very good underrated actor. I was also interested to see the chemistry with Steve working with Leelee since they already worked together in Joy Ride. The movie is about these passengers on a night train to somewhere unknown. All thats really obvious is that its friggin cold. This one strange passenger gets on clutching a present tight to his chest. He dies from some unknown reason and two passengers(Steve and Leelee) plus a train worker (Glover) decide to open up the box that he's carrrying. Inside they see diamonds and jewels worth millions. They decide to work together to get rid of the body and keep the contents for themselves. Of course greed gets in their way, mistrust, police looking for the passenger and other things go awry. Plus there is much more to the box then whats originally thought.
I somewhat mildly enjoyed it. The story was pretty cool eventhough somewhat predictable. Steve played it more straight than the normal goofball he usually plays. Glover is getting so friggin old but he did a solid job with the material. If you are a big fan of the actors or love the thriller genre then i can recommend it but overall it was what I call a background movie. You know the kind that can play in the background while you do chores around the house and watch every few minutes. On a scale of 1-10 I give this an "ice fishing surprise" 6.1 out of 10.
