Witches Night

I kind of enjoyed it. This is one of those if you see it on tv go ahead and watch it but I dont think I would suggest seeking it out on your own. The acting was pretty decent and it did have some hot chicks even though it never showed any skin until the final ritual scene at the end of the movie.

The movie started off pretty strong with a group of friends that are on their way for a camping trip. One of the guys, Jack, was dumped at the altar earlier that morning and his buddies, the groomsmen, are there to cheer him up. They stop at a bait and tackle shop to pick up some beer. While inside they find an occult book behind the counter of the shop. One of the guys decides to steal it. Jack, still drunk off his ass goes to take a piss and finds an old witch hiding in the bushes. He runs off but doesnt tell anyone about it till later in the movie. Before they leave they encounter an older lady that has a bunch of canoes to rent. They come up with a plan to canoe down the river and go camping in the woods. On their way out to the drop site the old lady tells them a story about a group of 7 sister witches that used to live out in the woods and cursed people. She tells them its just an old wise tale and that it was over 30 years ago when all this supposedly happened. While camping they find a bunch of chicks laughing around a camp fire. Hmm I wonder if these extremely hot chicks camping by themselves are all a bunch of lesbos on a fun rug munch trip or could they be the witches? 2 of the guys get some mysterious rash and one guy wakes up with this pic below carved on his chest. You know the rest, the guys flee, some get killed and then one of the guys has to save the day and defeat the curse of the evil witches.

I dont think I would ever be too drunk not to notice that!
The first half was really good. I was glad it was a bunch of older guys instead of kids that they would have normally cast in the role. I enjoyed the comradarie that seemed believable and it had pretty good dialogue. The second half of the movie was pretty much cliche zone but it was still a little enjoyable. It had kind of an 80's vibe to it, especially the ending. It's worth a watch if you catch it on tv sometime or you just love this type of movie. Its no Race the Devil, but its not that bad. On a scale of 1-10 I give it a goat head 6.0 out of 10

Jamie's dream finally came true
