Mariah Carey E=Mc2 Album Review
I thought it would be funny for me to review an R&B album especially one by Mariah Carey. I admit I liked a few of her older songs but her newer whispering stuff just gets on my nerve. I absolutely hate R&B/Pop so dont take this too seriously.
1. Migrate- yawn......what kind of cheesy keyboard music is that? Who is this TPain douchbag? Anyone can do that if you had a voice decoder thingamabob.
2. Touch My Body- Another whispering song. Any song that has the word "youtube" is probably always gonna be generic. Sad thing is this is one of the better songs on the album.
3. Cruise Control- decent reggae summer type of song. I kinda dig it.
4. I Stay in Love- average type of slow r&b song. Not too bad.
5. Side Effects- decent bass and beat. Too bad it has generic rapping by some scrub named Young Jeezy. Sounds like hes constipated. Boring song.
6. Im That Chick- funky 70's type of beat. This and that reggae song is the style she needs to stick too.
7. Love Story- played out cheesy music. Some generic rapper talking during intro and making uh hunh and other cheesy sounds between verses. Probably some of her best vocals but too bad it has generic music that ruins it.
8. I'll Be Loving Long Time- The third laid back summertime type of song. I was diggin it. I was bobbing my head wishing I was kicked back with a brew in hand.
9. Last Kiss- generic played out Boys 2 Men type of beat. Ive noticed a lot of the fast singing reminds me a lot of Bone Thugs N Harmony.
10. Thanx 4 Nothin'- Another generic opening by some dillweed. The music bored me to tears. Some of her better singing.
11. O.O.C.- pretty cool music and beat. Another laid back bobing head jam. Damn she needs to sick to this style and drop the rappers and those other fuckers who ruin the songs.
12. For the Record- generic pop style beat. Song gets better as it goes on. One of the better songs.
13. Bye Bye- Finally a ballad on the album that I dig. Cool monosynth keyboards during parts of the song.
14. I Wish You Well- piano ballad......sounds like shes trying way too hard. Its a gospel song but its not touching and Ive heard much better. She finally does the "scream" at the end but its out of place and just sounds played out. Not a great way to finish an album.
In conclusion the album actually was better than I expected. I wanted so bad to tear the whole thing apart but the woman does have some talent. Just please Mariah take away all the hip hop influences and just make a laid back chill album instead.

For those who want to skip the review heres at least some T&A for you
