Nfl Wrap Up
Thank you and congratulations to the Giants for not only providing a mostly entertaining Super Bowl but also ending the perfect season of the arrogant Belicheck and the Patriots. Also give the refs props for calling a great game. I really cant think of any play they messed up on. The only thing I wished would have happened would be if the Giants had won in overtime on the first possession so the Nfl would consider changing the most idiotic rule in all professional sports. The overtime rules are ridiculous and the Nfl should consider stealing the way the college handles it. So its another long off season as the other 30 teams prepare to make their journey to the promised land. Ill have a lot higher expectations for my team the Titans for next season. Now its time to look back at my preseason predictions and how they ended up turning out. Last season I did a great job but this year probably not as good. Lets take a look line by line.

1. Vince Young will break the Madden curse.
This one might be a push. Vince played poorly early in the season but he did lead them to the playoffs.
2. Ladanian Tomlinson should probably win Nfl player of the year again.
I was off on this one even though Ladian still ending up the leading rusher in the Nfl.
3. Tony Romo is not the next Troy Aikman. Yes he's a solid young quarterback but I still dont think he can reach elite status though. The Cowboys should be very good though
So far I have that one nailed right on the head.
4. The Raiders will not surprise anyone. They are absolutely horrible and Culpepper is probably done. Ill be surprised if they dont finish in the bottom 3.
They didnt do as bad as I predicted but I knew Culpepper was done.
5. Eli Manning will step up. I think the Giants are going to have a good year. I think Eli gets a raw deal since he has the Manning name.
My best prediction of the lot!
6. Saints will keep on marching. They were oh so close last year and this year just may be theirs.
Close but no cigar on this one.
7. I think Arizona will make a strong push for the playoffs. Their offense is just too good to be held back.
Wrong again.
8. San Diego will keep on rolling and get home field in the playoffs.
Well they did have one homefield game.
9. Baltimore will beat New England in the AFC Championship. They choked so bad in last years playoffs. Offense and Defense just plain gave up. I dont think that will/can happen again.
Wow I was dead wrong on this at least for one of the teams.
10. Baltimore will defeat the New Orlean Saints for the Lombardi Trophy. Finally Mcnair will get his Super Bowl Trophy that he deserves.
Dead wrong again. I didnt realize Mcnair was already that far past his prime and I didnt realize the defense was that old.

Actually now that I looked back I didnt do as bad as I originally thought. Thats 0ne reason I love the Nfl is because each season brings a bunch of new surprises. How did your predictions go?

Dont cry for Brady he has this waiting for him at home!

Pretty good predictions dude! I think w/ VY is that his Christian beliefs kept most of truly bad Madden mojo out, or he just gave it to Pacman.

Well...well...well... I'll be the first one to say that I was dead wrong about Eli. Through the regular season with all of his INTs, questionable decisions, and at times poor game management I thought that he was just a shadow of his big brother. I was wrong. Beating Dallas in Dallas... what ??? Beating Greenbay at Lambeau in January...huh ??? The road wins one after another then to end the Patriots Dream of Perfection. Sonuva...that was awesome !!! I've gotta hand it to him. He has the kind of fight and determination that is rare among QBs in the league. He played nearly mistake free. My hats off to him and the Giants for doing the improbable. I usually can't stand the Giants of course but I was proud of them last night. Belichick...hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...ha and Brady's woman needs to gain a few pounds in my opinion. Well now we wait until next year. Maybe Romo grows up and matures in the game and becomes more " Aikmanesque " in the playoffs and maybe Vince has a breakout year as well. Until next season...and thank God for basketball.
