Redline Movie Review
There is no possible way there will be a worse movie this year. You cant convince me of it, even though I heard a great case for Dead Clowns recently. This movie is so bad I literally couldn't believe what was unfolding in front of my eyes. Unfortunately it wasn't one of those so bad it's good bad. This is "how the fuck did this director get this amount of money to piss away and how the hell did this script get approved" kind of bad. I'm convinced he had to be a lottery winner and this is how he decided to spend his money. The only good thing I can say about it is the audio and video production was slick. Terrible, terrible acting, horrible dialogue and transition shots that are worse than most tv shows.
Im so pissed i barely want to even finish this review. Its basically a story about 3 wealthy dudes (a record producer, a film producer, and a counterfeiter) that get together and bet millions on street racing. Eddie Griffin in an all time low role bets his driver ( the hot as hell Nadia Bjorlin) can beat the counterfeiters driver in a race where millions are at stake as well as Nadia being kept as a slave if she lost. In a freak accident Nadia loses the race and the winner of the race dies. Nadia is captured as a slave and the brother of the dead racer is out to seek revenge and to free Nadia. Believe me the movie is not nearly as exciting as how I made that sound.
Here's an example of how bad it is. Eddie Griffin's ho g/f is on a private jet with Eddie, Nadia and a few other people, when she suddenly gets made that Eddie starts to flirt with Nadia. She demands to pull the plane over. The very next scene you see the plane landing on a highway and they throw her off the plane along with her bags. This scene is actually trying to be serious! That's the main problem of the movie. It wasn't quite comedy (intentionally at least) and it sure wasn't a full on action movie. Throw in a cheesy pop rock band appearance and some very very boring uninspired racing and thus you have the worst movie of the year so far!
I hope the director Adam Cheng goes back to working full time with Jackie Chan Stuntman Association and never directs another Hollywood movie again! On a scale of 1-10 I give this a counterfeit money burning 1.1 out of 10!

The one and only reason to even look at the dvd jacket: Nadia Bjorlin
