Please go vote
Majority of the people dont vote for President much less during any other time of the year. I highly encourage everyone who complains about the country and everything in general have your voice heard and go vote. Actually if you are uninformed and just vote one way without truly knowing the issues then please stay home. Its an important vote for the congress because the power could easily swing from Republicans to the Democrats. Its probably a done deal that a Democrat will be president next so its important there is not a totally Democrat controlled America. I shudder to think of what could happen. Yes a Republican president has things jacked up currently in most people's eyes but that doesnt mean the next guy will follow suit. The moral issues America is facing is way more important in the big scheme of things then the economy, minimum wage, health care and even taxes.
Besides Congress here are some other important things on the voters plate. 8 states are up to vote on same sex marriage bans. Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin. Do i really need to explain this? By this point im sure your mind is made up one way or the other by now.
Smoking bans or tax increase. Ill be honest im not a big club goer but the few times ive gone to either a night club or a sports bar. Its still been a great atmosphere and ive enjoyed not smelling any smoke. States voting: Arizona, California, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Missouri, Nevada, Ohio, and South Dakota.
Minimum Wage increase. 6 states are up for vote for raising it from $6.15 to $6.85. Thats a no brainer. Both parties are supporting this. States Voting: Arizona, Colorado, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, and Ohio.
Abortion. Probably the single most important issue in this whole vote today. In South Dakota citizens will vote to repeal a law passed in February that bans all abortions, except in cases where the mother"s life is threatened. If the law is kept intact and not overturned then this will eventually go all the way to the Supreme Court and their is an excellent chance that they will overturn Roe vs Wade finally. California and Oregon are voting on required parental notification before abortions are performed.
Marijuana. Nevada and Colorado are voting to decide if an ounce of pot can be legalized for people 21 and older. Proponents are against it maintaining that it is a gateway drug to harder substances and if legalized it would be even easier to get into minors hands.
A lot of issues out there. So please get off your butt, pray to your version of God you believe in, or at least think hard about whats truly important to America and go out and vote!

Tony here... I early voted last week. This election was super important. It was my hope that most incumbents be replaced. It is my belief that Senators and House Reps should have one term to get the job done. If at the end of their term, that person hasn't done anything extroirdinary with their time spent on the tax payer's dollar. Then they get fired from the job that probably made them rich. I just get the feeling that most of these bastards get into it now to become rich if they weren't already... and relection really means to them " Please Keep Me Rich. " The Democrats have now taken control of the house ( thank God )... because every Government and Administration needs checks and balances. This will now provide that to some extent. Besides Dennis Hasert will no longer be Speaker of the House, which is a good thing because he knew about Florida Rep 16th district Mark " Pederass" Foley's sick ass behavior for quite a while and didn't say a word. Kept it under wraps. Hasert is now unemployed. GOOD! Nancy Pelosi is now the Speaker of the House, we'll see. When Congressmen give themselves 3 huge pay raises in the last few years ( now to $ 165,000 yr - not including kickbacks and bribes ) and haven't raised the Federal Minimum Wage ONE TIME since Clinton did it, I got a major problem with that. They have some fu#k'n nerve. There has to be Checks and Balances, to this - perhaps the most corupt and deceptive Administration in the History of the United States of America. W and his cronies have fucked it up for the republicans for a while to come. I wonder if the hardcore christians that voted for him this last time see the light yet. He is about as christian as a piece of carpet in my opinion. He is so Fake. A true man of God, doesn't get over 2,800 american soldiers killed over a lie. WMD, yeah ok sure. He would even like to have us believe that there was a connection between Sept 11th and Iraq... please... He has bankrupted this economy with the war debt and terrible trade inequities with China. On that, a fact - hate'em or love'em, Bill Clinton left us ( The U.S. ) with a multi million dollar surplus ($$$ not earmarked for anything) and Bush now has us in the greatest national deficit in the nation's history - in the trillions. Our grand children will still be paying this off, seriously. The Nat'l deficit stems from the attacks of 9-11... yeah right...please. Gee, I wonder if this ill-planned dumbass occupation of Iraq has anything to do with it.( and still no O'sama Bin Laden ). Even one single American soldier's life isn't worth the attempt to try to transform this country and region of the middle east into a democracy. We would have better luck getting Stephen Hawking to run the Boston Marathon. But getting back to voting, yes extremely important. I agree.
