Contest Winner
This is for the favorite movie of the year 500th post contest a few months back. Ive selected a winner and shipped the copy of Rec dvd a long time ago, I just keep forgetting to update the site.
The winner drawn at random was Dexter B. of San Diego, Ca and his favorite movie of the year so far was The Air I Breathe. Ive got that in my pile to see but havent had a chance to get around to it yet. Congratulations Dexter and Im not sure if you like football but heres a pic for you anyways.

500th Post (contest!)

Its been 2 years and 500 posts later and im still doing this and having fun. Over the past few weeks my readership hits have really grown. For those who arent familiar with the site this is a rough outline I follow. Mondays are the Box Office Report and a greeting with some hotties for the week. Tuesdays are video game and movie trailers that catch my eye. Wednesdays is Hump Day and some more hotties. Thursdays are usually my Joke of the Week w/ more hotties. Friday are now my documentary of the week segment where you can watch a full length documentary that I snagged from snag films. I usually dont post too much on the weekends. Now my movie and music reviews just randomly pop up when I have the time. In celebration for this milestone I am going to run a contest. To participate all you have to do is email me at rantsravesandreviews@gmail.com with Contest as the subject line. In the email just tell me your favorite movie of the year so far and why. The top 3 answers will be put in a random drawing and the winner will get a copy of my favorite dvd of the year so far [rec].

Shinobi: Heart Under Blade Dvd Contest.

A few months ago I reviewed the international cut of the excellent ninja fantasy movie Shinobi: Heart Under Blade.Thanks to the folks at www.filter-mag.com and Funimation dvd's Ill be having a contest to give away 3 copies of Shinobi: Heart Under Blade 2 disc U.S. special edition that releases today February 6th, 2007.

SHINOBI: Heart Under Blade is a Japanese ninjutsu, romance movie based on the novel, “The Kouga Ninja Scrolls” by Futaro Yamada. This 2005 film adaptation is set in 1614 and the story depicts the clash between two ninja clans, Iga and Koga, and the fated love between the two young heirs Gennosuke Koga (Joe Odagiri) and Oboro (Yuki Nakama). It’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon meets Romeo & Juliet - both breathtaking and heart-breaking as the Shogun forces these ancient enemy clans into battle.
